GHS & OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard

OSHA has aligned its required Hazard Communication Standard with the UN’s Globally Harmonized System (GHS), in an effort to create a universally understandable method for communicating hazard warnings. This will impact the documentation and labeling of substances found in the workplace, and the training of workers to understand these new formats. Over the next two years, employers will need to comply with deadlines for implementing changes in their chemical handling programs.
